Time to Listen Course 21/03/18

Posted by Angi Harrell on 12 December 2017

Dear all,

Northamptonshire Sport are hosting a Time to Listen course on Wed, 21 Mar 2018 (18:30 - 21:30) at Moulton College its £35 per person. England Hockey would recommend you send a couple of representatives as Time To Listen courses are not held locally very often and it is worth having a few club members trained so that you can discuss how to manage the club with regard to welfare issues. People who should take the course would be Lead/Head coaches in bigger clubs, Welfare officers, Club Chair/President

The workshop will:

·         Describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centred environment

·         Explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment

·         Apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice

To book on the course follow the link  https://www.northamptonshiresport.org/events/2018/03/time-to-listen---multisport1

·         If you want your club to be invoiced then contact lucy.alexander@firstforwellbeing.co.uk or call Lucy on 07841784264 (Please do this when you book on or the system can’t accept you).

·         N.B. If your club is invoiced then you are liable for VAT, if your coaches book on as individuals then the price is as stated on the booking portal.

·         If you plan to attend, you will need England Hockey’s Safeguarding SafeD resource and have it before the course, you can contact Stuart Thomas at head office and as long as you order one week before the course it should get to you.

Any questions just ask?

Regards

Andy
